Whetstone Benchmark
I found a Whetstone benchmark on this website written for QBASIC on a PC. I thought it would be a good test for the interpreter to see if this traditional benchmark can be run on such modest hardware as the EZSBC1. The original program was edited to make it run under Control-BASIC. Mostly it involved changing the timing measurements from using the TIMER instruction to GETTICK, getting rid of the file IO operations (commented out), changing ATN to ATAN and the print formatting was simplified. Here is the modified version to verify that I did not cheat.
The Whetstone benchmark results. Let's see how a PIC does on that benchmark.
